Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining WordPress websites, implementing new features, customizing themes and plugins, ensuring website performance, and enhancing user experience. You will collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality web solutions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Customize WordPress themes and templates to suit business requirements.
• Implement new features and functionality using WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Optimize website performance, including site speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with design and content teams to ensure a seamless user interface.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress sites, themes, and plugins.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new WordPress features.
• Ensure website security by monitoring vulnerabilities and updating plugins/themes regularly.
• Work with APIs to integrate third-party services.
• Manage hosting environments and optimize servers for WordPress.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of PHP and WordPress architecture.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development and customization.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AJAX for dynamic content integration.
• Proficiency in responsive web design and mobile-first development.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques (SEO, caching, image optimization).
• Experience with version control (Git) and task management tools (Jira, Trello, etc.).
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement them in WordPress sites.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce) and payment gateways is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (optional).
• Experience with WordPress Multisite or custom post types.
• Familiarity with modern web development tools like SASS/LESS.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and compliance.
